CRM Playaz - Touching Nerves and Funnybones...Hopefully

Yesterday Paul "The Dean of CRM" Greenberg and I put out the long awaited (by us) pilot episode of The CRM Playaz. Paul did the honors over on his very popular ZDNet blog. He did a great job of setting the table for what we're hoping to do with this, so I'd recommend reading his post if you get a chance. And please feel free to give it a thumbs up if you like it.

In short, we're attempting to have some fun with a topic that typically doesn't come to mind when you think of fun....CRM. But we like a good challenge and this is about as good as it gets. So we'll make fun of ourselves, each other, industry execs, and you too if you give us a chance. We'll tackle things in the industry that we think need to be tackled, sacked, thrown for a loss and if necessary we may even do one of those ridiculous celebratory gyrations after it's all over. And at some point you may actually see all of that happen as we try to figure the best way to do this with video - being that Paul is in Virginia and I'm in Georgia. And since we're going for the PTI look we want it to look pretty good before we put it out there. Yup, I'd be Wilbon and Paul would be Kornheiser, just to clear up any confusion...

Our first show is raw and is aptly being called a pilot. So please keep this in mind, but we do welcome any feedback you can give us...and I do mean any.

We've had a great reception so far, as some folks have even called us the Click and Clack of CRM - which I think is a compliment. And even one of the targets of our first show took everything in stride, as we dinged up one of my favorites HubSpot about a Facebook ad that featured Paul without Paul knowing it. This started a really good conversation over on the HubSpot blog. Plus Paul and I riff on the biggest beef since the East Coast - West Coast rap controversy.... the CRM 2.0 vs. Social CRM beef that's threatening to tear the industry apart. Biggie and Tupac have nothing on us....
